Bendigo's Solar Experts
Solar Battery Storage in Bendigo
Store the power your panels make by day and run your home on it after dark.
How Battery Storage Works With Your Solar
Through the middle of the day your panels usually make more power than your home is using. A battery stores that excess instead of exporting it, then runs your home on your own power through the evening. With feed-in credits now worth far less than the power you buy, storing your excess is usually worth more than selling it.
A battery also keeps critical appliances running when the grid goes down, so an outage does not mean a dark house or a warm fridge.
We carry battery systems from Sungrow, BYD, GoodWe, SigEnergy and Franklin, covering compact home storage through to modular systems that grow with you. All of it is grid-connected. We do not install off-grid systems.

Why choose solar batteries for your home or business?
A battery lets you use the power you already generated instead of selling it for a few cents and buying it back at retail. It also keeps your essentials on through an outage.
Excess Solar Power

How Midland Solar Helps
Sized To Your Evenings

Backup Where It Matters
We set up backup circuits for the appliances you nominate, so the essentials stay on through an outage.
Works With Your Solar
New system or retrofit. Hybrid inverters like the Sungrow SH series are battery ready, and several batteries in our range can be added to existing solar.
The Federal Battery Discount Right Now
The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program discounts eligible batteries for homes and businesses. We apply it to your quote and handle the paperwork.
Your Questions, Answered
Will a battery keep my whole house running in a blackout?
It keeps your nominated backup circuits running, things like the fridge, lights and internet. Running everything at once would drain any battery quickly, so we set up the circuits that matter most to you.
Can I add a battery to my existing solar system?
In most cases, yes. Several batteries in our range can retrofit alongside an existing inverter, and if your system has a hybrid inverter it is even simpler. We will check your setup and quote the cleanest path.
What size battery do I need?
Enough to cover your evening and overnight usage, which we read straight from your bills. Bigger is not automatically better, and the federal discount applies per kilowatt-hour of usable capacity, so right-sizing pays twice.
What is the battery rebate right now?
The federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program discounts eligible batteries for homes and businesses. Since 1 May 2026 the support is tiered by size, so the full rate applies to the first 14kWh of usable capacity and tapers above that up to 50kWh. A typical home battery still lands near 30% off. The dated details and reference are in the rebates section below.
Does a battery take me off the grid?
No, and we do not install off-grid systems. A battery covers your evenings and outages while the grid stays connected as your backstop. That is the setup that makes financial sense for homes in Bendigo.
Storing your power beats selling it cheap
