Bendigo's Solar Experts
Solar Inverters in Bendigo
String, hybrid and microinverter systems, matched to your roof and your battery plans.
What Does A Solar Inverter Actually Do?
The inverter is the brain of your solar system. It converts the DC power your panels make into the AC power your home or business runs on, manages the connection to the grid, and reports live performance so you can see exactly what your system is producing.
We install three kinds. String inverters like the Sungrow SG series, GoodWe DNS and MS series, and Fronius Primo GEN24 are the reliable workhorse for most roofs. Hybrid inverters like the Sungrow SH series are battery ready, so you can add storage any time without changing the inverter. Enphase IQ8 microinverters convert power at each individual panel, which suits complex or partly shaded roofs.
For business systems we fit Sungrow 30kW and 50kW commercial inverters, the same gear behind our larger local projects.

Why Install a Solar Inverter?

Your Questions, Answered
What is the difference between a string inverter and microinverters?
A string inverter converts power for the whole array in one unit, which is cost-effective and reliable for most roofs. Microinverters like the Enphase IQ8 convert power at each panel, so one shaded or dirty panel does not drag down the rest. We will recommend the right fit for your roof in your assessment.
Do I need a hybrid inverter to add a battery?
It is the cleanest path. A hybrid inverter like the Sungrow SH series is battery ready from day one. Some batteries in our range can also be added alongside an existing inverter, so if you already have solar we will advise what suits your setup.
Can I monitor how much power my system makes?
Yes. Every inverter we install includes monitoring you can check from your phone, covering production, consumption and system health.
Will my solar work during a blackout?
A grid-connected inverter shuts down in a blackout for safety, unless you have battery backup. If outages are a concern, ask us about pairing your inverter with one of our battery options.
What size inverter do I need?
It is matched to your panel array and how you use power, which we work out from your last 12 months of bills. Oversizing or undersizing costs you money either way, so we size it properly the first time.
Not sure which inverter suits your system?
Book a solar assessment and we will match the inverter type to your roof, your usage and your battery plans.
